Who is this monitor suited for? The person being monitored must weigh a minimum of 56lbs, and is using a thicker mattress or a double bed
The MP5TWIN is designed to monitor one person and will detect shaking or jerking movements such as those encountered during convulsive seizures (Tonic-Clonic ONLY), as well as sounds/noises. It will not detect mild seizures, and should not be used for people under 56lbs. To have a complete alarm system for one person, you only need to purchase the MP5. The sensors should be positioned under the heaviest part of the person between the mattress and box spring - spaced evenly apart, keeping the mattress size in mind for best coverage.
The MP5 TWIN is very similar to the MP5, however it has two bed sensors and will detect milder movements. We recommended this unit if the user has a large bed, or a thick mattress.
The user should be at least 56lbs to use this monitor.
Simply position the two sensors between the mattress and box spring allowing for space between the sensors, evenly under the area where the user will lay. Turn on the pagers and set the sensitivity controls.
This unit detects abnormal bed movements such as nocturnal convulsive seizures, and milder movements. Each sensor has independent sensitivity controls. The pagers can be used an approximate distance of 328 feet from the monitor.
